Installing a new flat roof.
Every layer matters.
New flat roofs for houses and apartment buildings in Ljubljana and central Slovenia. We coordinate the work with the design, intended roof use, load-bearing substrate and drainage.

From drawings to a defined roof build-up
We first review the available drawings, bill of quantities, substrate condition and intended roof use. A roof intended only for maintenance access, a terrace and a green roof have different requirements for protection, loads and surface layers. Above heated rooms, thermal insulation and water vapour movement must also be coordinated. We clarify unresolved design details before construction.
- Drawings, bill of quantities and intended roof use
- Compatibility of substrate, insulation and waterproofing
- Load capacity, access and future roof equipment
Falls, outlets and waterproofing details
Falls, outlets and emergency drainage are considered as part of the roof design. Parapet junctions, penetrations, rooflights and terrace thresholds need particular attention. Equipment locations and fixings should be agreed in advance so that later work does not damage the waterproofing or obstruct drainage.
A clear scope before work starts
The quotation defines the included layers, substrate preparation, outlets, finishing details and protection of the waterproofing for the intended roof use. We also define associated sheet-metal and other work, deliveries, access and protection during construction. If documentation is incomplete, we state the missing information and the assumptions used in the quotation.
Inspections during construction and roof handover
We agree the work sequence and inspections before starting. Important details should be documented before other layers cover them. At handover, we review the completed work and agreed documents, and explain maintenance access, outlet cleaning and the warranty terms stated in the quotation or contract.
Frequently asked questions
Which waterproofing is best?
There is no universal choice. Bituminous sheets and other membranes each have their own conditions of use. Selection must take account of the build-up, loads, details and system instructions.
Can a flat roof support a solar installation?
This must be checked against load capacity, fixing or ballast requirements, access and waterproofing protection. The equipment must be coordinated with the roof design.
Can you build a roof to an existing bill of quantities?
Send us the bill of quantities and drawings. We first check the required scope and any unresolved details, then agree the quotation. Design work is not automatically included in an installation quotation.
Is every flat roof suitable for regular use?
No. Maintenance access is not the same as regular terrace use. Access requirements, protective and surface layers, and loads must be allowed for in a suitable roof build-up.
